For 2026, Moldova’s government set:
- National minimum wage: 6,300 MDL/month
- Forecast average monthly wage: 17,400 MDL/month
The National Bureau of Statistics reported an average monthly salary of 16,895.7 MDL in Q2 2026.
However, foreign workers recruited for specific occupations can have salaries above the national minimum, depending on their experience, occupation, employer, overtime and benefits.
For example, a job offer might specify:
Salary: €600–€1,000/month
Accommodation: Provided by employer
Food: Provided or allowance
Contract: Fixed-term/renewable
Workers should always check whether the advertised salary is gross or net, and whether accommodation, food, transportation and overtime are included.
